I wish I could leap through email and just hug your neck. I read your BonjOrganization e-book last night and had so many light bulb moments. I printed off your Worst-First Chart and your Schedule and I’m tweaking them to our family’s needs. Already, I feel so much better!! I can do this! I had a very productive day today–kept up with housework, clients, Parker’s school program, and even ate dinner out with the family after the play. This morning? Both of my kids made their beds and Parker even finished his handwriting homework before we left the house. And I even had the strength (and sense) to say an emphatic NO to a client who is asking for yet another exception. Thank you, Kelli. You’re such a gem. I’m still in shock that someone wants to pay me that much for my work. I’ve dealt with so many cheapies lately- i’m still working on marketing and finding the right clients. “I completed my first in-person ordering session since starting Kelli’s class and it was a HUGE success. I took the 5×7 proofs, the client was a senior model for me and had already had her photos taken by someone else. She and her mom were at the ordering session, we watched the slide show with video, then we sat down to look through the proofs. The mom wanted her to have the slide show video for sure and thought that was cool, then they ended up purchasing my B Collection for $1295. My biggest sale since starting my business!!! I was so excited I could not wait to get home. It worked, the whole thing! I took the checklist and did everything just like Kelli said to do it and I could not believe that, after already buying photos from someone else, they would buy that much from me. “When we signed up for the Business Makeover with Kelli, my business partner and I were completely selling ourselves short in many ways. I think as a new photographer it is hard to have the confidence to price your time and your products appropriately. What was I thinking?! Kelli convinced me otherwise (thank goodness) and we created a pricing structure whereby I was paid for what I was worth (rather than earning less than minimum wage). My third client ever spent $1,415 on the session and prints/products. My fourth client ever spent $1,738 on the session and prints/products. I loved it! Since then I’ve raised my prices three times and as a result am getting clients that value artwork rather than snapshots. Before Francypants Academy my average sale was $0 because I was brand new to photography and knew very little at all.
